City United junior Brodie Little was the star with the bat making 67 of just 61 balls as Hunter Valley made 8/155 off 38 overs.
West Pennant Hills/Cherrybrook were restricted to 145 in reply with Hunter Valley's fielders making an incredible four run-outs.
Hunter Valley finished fifth in the tournament with one win from their four games in the preliminary rounds.
Hunter 5/140 defeated Ballina by 88 runs. Will Kennedy made 56 and Thomas Callan 28 not-out. Hayden Moorcroft took 4-14.
The Hunter Valley starts campaigns on Monday with teams taking part in the Lismore Under-12 Carnival and the LJ Hooker Under-13 Carnival at Ballina.
The Hunter Valley under-15s take on Newcastle, Central Coast, Northern Inland, Mid North Coast and North Coast in the Maitland Under-15s Carnival from Monday, January 20.
The Maitland under-11s kick off their Ron Arendts Memorial Shield campaign on Monday.
