The Hunter Valley under-13 cricket team tested their coaches and parents nerves with three of their five matches decided in the last over at the Ballina Under-13 Carnival last week.

The Hunter Valley team, which featured several Maitland players, finished with two wins and three losses from the carnival.
They started their campaign with a five-run win against Mid North Coast after posting 7/202 and dismissing Mid North for 197 with one ball left.
Northern Suburbs junior Jett Saxby was the star making 80 before he was run out.
Manly handed Hunter Valley a 200-run loss in game two, making 5-260 and dismissing the Hunter for 60.
It was another thriller in game three with Hunter making 8/141 in the last over to pass Bears Junior Rep's total of 140.
Norths' Darcy Emmett was the star with the ball taking 3/13 off seven overs. Oska Greentree, from Raymond Terrace, and Denman's Jarryd Moore took two wickets each.
Hunter Valley's semi-final also went down to the wire, but this time it was their opponent Tamworth who were victorious.
Saxby top scored with 41, Hayden Lucas (Norths) 39, Kayden Baker (Norths) 28 not out and Singleton's Deacon Eriksson 22 as Hunter Valley made 6/201.
But despite Wine County's Lachlan Eather taking 4-43, Tamworth were able to get home scoring 8/205.
In their final game, Brisbane Norths Junior Reps recorded a four-wicket win against Hunter. They made 6/144 passing Hunter's 8/142 with 11 overs to spare.
