The Griffins will be wearing pink one-day uniforms and specially designed pink club caps as part of fundraising efforts at King Edward Park for Easts game against Tenambit Morpeth.

Easts all-rounder Trent Park said the hard-working mums in the canteen have been given the day off and will get a chance to be pampered.

"We've got a few blokes lined up to step into their big shoes.," Park said.

"Hopefully they have been picking up plenty of tips along the way as the ladies have set an incredibly high standard in the kitchen," Park said.

"We're pretty lucky, actually spoiled with the support we get at the club from the mums, wives and partners.

"Ladies Day is a fun day when we can spoil them a bit but also raise money locally for the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation.

"We've got three raffles going and the profit from all beers and wines sold on the day goes to the foundation. We've got pink caps selling for $15 as well with proceeds going to the foundation as well.

"It will be great to see a big roll up of people on the day."

After a few lean seasons, Griffins fans can expect a more than competitive effort from their team in the one-day fixture.

"We're really confident of making this year's semi-finals. The team we've got at the moment, there are some wise heads, especially with (English recruit) Toby Godfrey coming in," Park said.

"He has made a big difference in the way we train and about how we approach the game mentally. i think that's probably been the biggest change this year."

Easts are sitting fourth on the table equal on 30 points with Raymond Terrace (third) and five points behind joint leaders Western Suburbs and City United.

The Griffins had the chance to break clear of Terrace in the first game after the break but had to settle for a draw after the second day of play at Jack Collins Oval was washed out with Easts making 238 on day one.

"It was pretty disappointing. We thought we were a pretty good shot to win. The week before it was a pretty tough deck. It was moving around a bit and a pretty slow outfield," Park said of the draw.

"We thought 238 was pretty good total to get, especially with some blokes out.

"We felt that if we could bowl tight and stick to the game plan we were a good chance.

"But that's the way it goes and everyone was in the same boat so we didn't fall behind."

Park, 20, has taken his game to a new level in 2020 scoring his maiden century and backing it up the following week with a sensational 199 not out.

"I'd never made a century before this season. I'd made about five 90s but I'd never got the 100, so to have two in a row is pretty cool," he said.

"Missing the double century was bloody unbelievable, I had a full toss on the last ball and absolutely missed it

"I had to get something like 15 off the last over. I got nine off three balls, a big six, a two and I thought how good is this and I started running down the pitch before he bowled it and I absolutely missed it."

Park has been marquee player at Stockton for the T20 Summer Bash playing with former Easts teammate Lucas Sargent.

"Lucas picked up a six-for and you realise what a big loss he was for us at Easts," Park said "If we had him I think we would take the comp out to be honest."
