Zipping Veyron gave Richmond Vale trainer Jason Mackay the group 1 National Futurity on Friday night as his two favourites in the features at Wentworth Park failed to fire.

Mackay had Futurity favourite Aston Maeve and Derby top pick Hard Style Rico in the $75,000-to-the-winner finals over 520m.
Zipping Veyron, second favourite in the Futurity at $3.90, repeated her flying start from the heats to lead from box four. She held out Wild Flyer late to win by a length in 29.95. Aston Maeve, from box one, was third.
Hard Style Rico ($1.70) jumped well from box five but reserve Oh Mickey ($6), which gained a start from box one, led. Hard Style Rico faded for fourth as Oh Mickey won the Derby in 29.91.
