The first two Thrashvilles in 2017 and 2018, which were headlined by The Cosmic Psychos and Frenzal Rhomb respectively, were held in late January, but organisers made the decision to shift the festival to the cooler September period.
The "slightly heavier" Thrashville embraces heavy rock and metal music and will announce their 2020 line-up in early March. Tickets are on sale from February 13 at dashville.com.
CAMPING OUT
AUSTRALIAN country royalty Tania Kernaghan will headline this year's Drovers Camp mini-festival on April 26.
The line-up also includes the 2017 victor of The Voice Judah Kelly, Greta's Golden Guitar winner Lyn Bowtell and Hunter trio Karen O'Shea, Bob Corbett and Trinity Woodhouse.
Drovers Camp is held on a bushland property on Elderslie Road, just minutes off the New England Highway at Branxton. It'll be a busy weekend of live music around Branxton with the nearby Dashville at Lower Belford hosting the Gum Ball.
MAMAS SHAKE IT
YOU'D struggle to keep your feet still if you heard The Mamas new single Dancefloor performed live.
It's an infectious "blend of soul, RnB and funky fem hop" wrapped up in pop polish. The Melbourne eight-piece have been wowing audiences with their glittery shows in recent years and their fun party tracks like Banana Club and Biscuit.
To celebrate the recent release of Dancefloor, The Mamas are hitting the road throughout the summer. The Mamas will get the dancefloor heaving at the Cambridge Hotel on February 23.
