Police said they stopped a car on Brooks Street about 11pm Monday, where they drug tested the driver and searched his car due to "smell and behaviour".
Police claim the driver failed the drug test and that they found a medium sized bag of cannabis and a small amount of methamphetamine in the vehicle.
The man was charged with supplying a prohibited drug and possession of a prohibited drug.
He was granted bail to appear in court next month.
