Despite recent rain in the Maitland area, and across the state, the majority of farms are still experiencing drought conditions and have a long road to recovery ahead of them.
A Motorama Show and Shine will be held at the grounds near the historic Closebourne House on Sunday between 10am and 2pm as a way of raising funds to assist.
Hundreds of vintage and modern cars, army vehicles, commercial and lightweight trucks and motorbikes will be on display.
Money raised at the event will go to the Rotary District Drought Appeal to assist drought affected farmers in the Hunter and also in western NSW.
