The Mutual Bank has appointed local accounting firm owner Debbie Mirisch to its board if directors.

Ms Mirisch is the owner/director of Biz Synergy and has more than 25 years of accounting, business and leadership experience.
Ms Mirisch joins existing Mutual board members Trevor Robinson, Bruce Arnott, Melinda Smith and Steve Meyn.
Mr Robinson, chairman of the board, said Ms Mirisch's appointment marked an exciting start to the new year for the bank formerly known as Maitland Mutual Building Society Limited.
"2020 is set to be a milestone year for The Mutual Bank, and we are delighted to welcome Debbie to our Board of Directors," he said.
"Debbie's connection to the Hunter region runs deep, both personally and professionally, and her extensive expertise in accounting and business leadership will be an invaluable asset to The Mutual Bank," said Mr Robinson.
Meanwhile, construction continues to progress on the Maitland-based bank's new seven storey head office building at the former Pizza Hut Green Hills site.
