East Cessnock's Janet Fenton has 9-year-old triplet daughters, Maya, Jasmine and Tamara and 18-month-old twin sons Vincent and Preston. She said Multiple Birth Awareness Week, which took place earlier this month, was a time to highlight what it's like for parents of multiples.
She said she goes through two cartons of three litre milk every few days plus buys lactose free milk for her 21-year-old son as well.
Ms Fenton said it was also hard when the kids fought and to keep them entertained all the time.
But it has its positives too. She said the girls were old enough to help with the boys' nappies and the bubs also adore their older sisters.
"It's nice watching them all grow up together too," Ms Fenton said. "And getting lots of kisses and cuddles from them."
