The High Street business was given a warning on Thursday after NSW Police were granted additional powers to issue Penalty Infringement Notices to anyone found contravening a ministerial direction under the Public Health Act. Police would not detail what the warning was issued for.
"Port Stephens-Hunter police will continue to conduct regular patrols of areas around the police district in addition to their regular taskings," the NSW Police spokesperson said.
Penalty Infringement Notices carry on-the-spot fines of $1,000 for individuals and $5,000 for businesses.
Any information about potential breaches of ministerial directions should be reported to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
