The Nulkaba zoo has adapted to the coronavirus outbreak by uploading fun videos, educational talks and behind-the-scenes footage of the zoo online.
From meerkats to wolves to cheetahs, the Hunter Valley zookeepers take viewers into enclosures and share a range of facts about the animals every day at 10am. Owner Jason Pearson said the zoo wanted to reach out to the community in these difficult times with an 'uplifting experience'.
"We realised we are quite an uplifting experience for people whether they are here physically or online," he said.
"We want to put a good feeling in a pretty negative world. We've got heaps planned including recording the bark of our wolves. They are entering their breeding season and they have a lot of behavioural changes.
"We want to bring a bit of normality in what is a bit of crazy world."
Tune into Hunter Valley Zoo's daily videos at 10am on their Facebook page.
