Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development Minister Michael McCormack said SA would receive $8.7 million under the program's 2020-21 funding round.
"Safer roads save lives," he said.
"This major investment is part of our commitment to improving roads right across the nation.
"Over the past five years, one fatal crash and 86 accidents causing injuries have occurred on the high-priority locations we are funding.
"One death, one injury on our roads is one too many. We are committed to doing our bit to make sure all Australians, no matter where they live, arrive home to their loved ones sooner and safer."
Road Safety and Freight Transport Assistant Minister Scott Buchholz said the 24 Black Spot projects across the state would make an important contribution towards reducing serious injuries and deaths on SA roads.
"The Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics has found that, on average, Black Spot projects reduce the number of crashes causing death and injury by 30 per cent," he said.
Member for Barker and South Australian Black Spot Consultative Panel chair Tony Pasin said the investment in Black Spot projects would deliver safer roads in local government areas throughout SA.
"The Black Spot Program funds safety measures such as traffic signals and roundabouts at road locations where a number of serious crashes are known to have occurred or are at risk of occurring," Mr Pasin said.
