She claims sporting bodies have been left to fend for themselves amid a cloud of uncertainty.
"Sport and recreation organisations are at the heart of Maitland," she said."It's time Geoff Lee and the Office of Sport presented a clear plan for community sport and recreation to return.
"The thousands of participants in Maitland's local sporting community deserve to know when they can return to the field, court or gym."
It's a feeling shared by Maitland Pickers coach Matt Lantry who said there are just too many grey areas, particularly in his own sport.
"The Black Diamond AFL teams were given official permission to return to training with a 10 player limit, and so were Northern NSW Football teams, and the netball too," he said.
"But in league we're still getting mixed messages. We're told it can only be bootcamp style training, then next we hear we're allowed skills training, but with no physical contact.
"It seems to be changing all the time.
"Look, I understand no-one wants to get it wrong and suddenly have lots more people falling sick ... I get that. But at the same time we need some definitive guidelines, and I think I'm speaking on behalf of all the clubs.
"We received an email this week - every coach, committee member, and player from under-6s right up to first grade - and they're hopeful they can advise on a return to training by June 1. That's just a few days away and they're still not sure they can definitely tell us.
"It's all really frustrating."
NSW Shadow Minister for Sport Lynda Voltz said sporting and recreation organisations had been left out in the cold by the Berejiklian Government.
"States across Australia have presented clear and manageable guidelines for the restart of sport and recreation, yet NSW once again has been left with no plan," Ms Voltz said.
"Where is the plan for football or gymnastics to return? Where is the plan for gyms to re-open? It's unacceptable."
