Qantas' budget carrier will resume the interstate service after months of coronavirus restrictions with a 5.50pm flight to Tullamarine costing $56.
It will also fly to the Melbourne capital on Thursday and Friday this week after earlier announcing it would resume flying out of Newcastle on June 26.
Jetstar and QantasLink are also selling direct flights from Newcastle to Brisbane and the Gold Coast from July 10, the date Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has said the border may reopen.
Ms Palaszczuk said in Queensland Parliament on Tuesday that she would not confirm the reopening date until at least the end of June.
The website of troubled operator Virgin Australia is also advertising Brisbane flights from July 13. The airline is in administration but continues to operate while searching for a buyer.
