The annual bargain event saw thousands of people through Central Maitland on Saturday, with more than 50 stores participating and slashing their prices.
The Levee Public Programs officer David Graham said council was thrilled with the outcome especially with some retailers recording their best day of trading yet.
"It was very successful. Some traders reported that it was their best trading day ever which is huge," he said.
"The weather was lovely ... everyone came out and had a nice time. Generally speaking, the traders were very enthusiastic about the sale and it translated into a very successful time for them.
"We were strategic in the entertainment and had roving entertainers positioned throughout The Levee."
Shops opened their doors from 9am with the sale wrapping up at 3pm.
But there was one shopper who bagged the biggest bargain of them all.
It was a trip to EB Games which saw resident Mitch Chudzinski win a $5000 shopping spree.
Mr Graham said it was a warm welcome for Mr Chudzinski who recently moved to the city.
"He only moved to Maitland a couple of weeks ago from Northern Territory ... he's very excited," Mr Graham said.
All people needed to do was spend $20 in a single purchase in any of the participating stores which then put them in to the draw to win a $5000 shopping spree.
