Pandemical Habits, a collaboration between graphic designer Grace Barnes and photographer Jedidiah Cranfield, has received funding under Council's Quick Response Creative Streets grant program, which forms part of Maitland City Council's COVID-19 Response and Recovery initiatives.

The project seeks to showcase a positive habit or skill that nine Maitland residents took up during the COVID-19 lockdown.

"We're thrilled to partner with up and coming creatives from the region to show how the people of Maitland stepped up to the challenge of the COVID-19 lockdown and came out with something positive," Council's Senior Place Activation Officer Portia Wendt said.

"I'm really looking forward to seeing what new habits or skills local residents have discovered during this time."

The chosen residents will feature in video and photographic profiles on social media as well as a Walls That Talk exhibition at Maitland Library.

Community members will have until July 26 to submit their story to the Pandemical Habits project by using the hashtag #pandemicalhabits on Instagram and/or Facebook or by emailing pandemicalhabits@gmail.com
