The brainchild of husband and wife duo, Jason and Sharon Bull, Swan Street Deli and Larder celebrated its first birthday of offering mouthwatering delicacies earlier this month.
The pair have also been the owners and operators of the main street's SPAR Express for 12 years.
"We decided to open the deli because there was no barbecue chicken option available in Morpeth and people kept asking us," Ms Bull said.
"We have a very large offering from barbecue chickens and salads; high quality cheeses; home cooked meals and coffee.
"It's been very well received. It seems like a good fit for Morpeth. We call it the golden triangle with the supermarket, bottleshop and deli."
While COVID-19 restrictions meant the celebrations were quiet, Ms Bull wanted to thank the community for all its support.
"We'd like to thank our customers and staff for the support over the last 12-months. We are looking forward to keep serving the community and beyond," she said. "We will be launching our website in the very near future because we also offer catering. It's really exciting."
