The victory leaves Comets as one of one three unbeaten teams after the third week of games in the 2020 season.
The George saw off a spirited challenge from EMNC Rebels with a 46-37 victory and WRTNC Stangas asserted their credentials as a likely finals contender by beating Customs House Hotel 49-26.
Flames and BDNC Alcobolics secured their first wins of the season. Flames defeated WRTNC Razzamatazz. 34-16 and BDNC Alcobolics won a thriller holding off the Bradford 46-42.
In the final game Club Maitland City defeted Quarry Bar Grill 35-26 in the Wests derby.
The Geroge head the ladder with Stangas second and Comets all on 12 points.
Club Maitland City on nine points makes up the top four on goal difference from Hills Solicitors.
Rebels, Customs House, Flames and BDNC Alcobolics follow on six points with one win and two losses.
Bradford is 10th on five points as they did not receive a point for their forfeit to The George.
Wests teams Razzamatazz and Quarry Bar & Grill are both without a win.
