However, Hills Solicitors shrugged off last week's narrow loss to jump back into the top four ahead on goal difference from last year's grand final opponent Club Maitland City.
The George, who have successful blended a mixture of youth and experience to lead the table, flexed their muscles on Saturday with a 67-21 win against WRTNC Razzamatazz.
NVY Comets, backing up from a memorable two-goal win against Maitland netball powerhouse Hills, had a 53-24 win against Flames and Stangas accounted for Bradford by the same margin.
Hills defeated WRTNC Quarry Bar & Grill 52-24 and Club Maitland City had a 34-19 win over Customs House Hotel to now both sit on 13 points, three points behind the top three in order The George, Stangas and Comets.
There is still plenty of interest outside the top six with EMNC Rebels splitting their record to two wins and two losses with a 57-26 win against BDNC Alcobolics.
Flames, Customs House and Alcobolics are all on seven points with one win. Bradford also has one win but did not receive points from a round three forfeit against The George.
Wests teams Quarry Bar & Grill.and Razzamatazz have still to record a win.
The match of the round next week is the top of the table clash between Comets and The George, while there will be plenty of interest in the Wests teams clash between Stangas (second) and Club Maitland City (fifth).
