'A Taste of Maitland' is a guided three and a half hour walking tour held once a month and aims to highlight the city's history, unique artisan local businesses and diverse coffee culture.
Umbrella Events founder Lisa Fraser said she was inspired by a love of travelling and unique experiences.
"As part of the tour, people will visit five businesses and they all offer something unique whether it's a service or sensory experience, demonstration or tasting. They all offer something completely unique," she said.
"With international travel on hold, people are still hungry to engage and explore on a local level. People are really looking to get out to regional towns and learn about them. It's also good for the community, especially if people have friends or relatives visiting.
"People will also get a passport with their tickets which includes a written snapshot of the history of Maitland, historic photos and coffee facts."
This weekend's businesses include Cabin Collective, Black Label, Dennerley Leather, Country Brewer and Bikesmith Espresso.
"We have also partnered with COQUUN so people can book in with them when they book their ticket," Ms Fraser said. "So you can have lunch right after the end of the tour." The tour will be held once a month on a Saturday from 9am to 12.30pm. Groups are capped at eight people with a minimum of six. Tickets are limited and can be purchased at events.humanitix.com/a-taste-of-maitland.
