The two teams will face off in next Saturday's elimination final after the loss saw The George drop to fourth.
Hills Solicitors won on forfeit by Bradford and finished third.
NVY Comets finished the season with a 52-26 win over Quarry Bar and Grill and will meet the reigning back-to-back premiers in the other side of the elimination final draw.
Club Maitland City held on for a thrilling 27-25 win over Rebels, however, they finished outside the top four on points difference, equal on 35 points with The George and Hills.
In the other final round games, Flames finished the season with a 41-27 win against Alcobolics and Customs House Hotel 61 defeated Razzamatazz 21.
The A-1 competition will hold a second tier finals series with Wests teams CMC (fifth) and Quarry Bar and Grill (eight) meeting in one elimination semi-final and Rebels (sixth) and Customs House Hotel (seventh).
The winners of the elimination final in all grades progress to the grand final on Sunday.
