With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, the season opening will see a number of operational changes at the centres including patrons no longer required to pre book lanes.
The popular splash pad and inflatables will be open over the school holidays and weekends with restrictions in place to ensure our patrons remain safe.
Aqua Classes, and all Learn to Swim classes will be recommencing. Social distancing will be in place where practically possible for these lessons in line with the public health orders.
"We are so excited to be safely opening our outdoor pools, changeroom and shower facilities. We know that the community is also eager to get back in the pool as warmer weather approaches," Aquatics Centres coordinator Suellen Goyne said.
"Patrons safety is our highest priority here. There are enhanced cleaning measures in place, a COVID cleaning marshal will be on site and patrons will still be required to sign in on entry."
There will continue to be a limit to the maximum number of swimmers to a lane and patrons will be required to abide by social distancing of 1.5m unless in the same family.
While there will be no physical Summer Season launch event this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, a range of digital initiatives have been developed to promote health and well being and water safety as we head into the Summer season.
