NSW has recorded no local coronavirus cases for the second day in a row, with the only new cases found in the past 24 hours from six overseas travellers in quarantine.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced the good news, but said she would like to see higher testing rates to ensure any cases circulating undetected in the community were found.
"We do need to be on our guard," she said. "Our concern now is complacency."
She also reminded the community that from Monday there will be 3000 travellers - 500 more than the current rate - coming back into Australian every week, which would put more pressure on police and security operations.
The last time NSW had consecutive days without community transmission was July 3, 4, and 5.

NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant said she was very pleased to deliver a shorter than usual health report, but agreed that this was "no time for complacency".
"The last unknown source of infection was September 7, but it is no time for complacency," she said.
"We continue to ask community to work with us ahead of the school holidays to get those testing rates up high."
She said the government would be able to make announcements about easing certain COVID-19 restrictions if the state's testing rates were raised "to make sure the virus is not circulating in the community".
