"Current circumstances are reshaping the way we interact with each other and the rest of the world. We now have the opportunity to engage with authors in different countries and bring them to Maitland through our new Look Who's Talking Online program," Manager Libraries and Learning Keryl Collard said.

"The Look Who's Talking program has been connecting the community with great speakers and new ideas for over a decade."

Ms Collard added "exciting new partnerships are enabling Maitland Libraries to deliver world class events and sought after speakers despite the challenges of COVID-19".

Debuting last month with award winning cli-fi (climate fiction) author James Bradley, Look Who's Talking Online brings internationally recognised and award winning authors to the community in the comfort of their own homes.

Upcoming speakers include the warmly humorous Monica McInerny on Wednesday September 30 who will be discussing her latest novel 'The Godmothers' while Chris Hammer, author of 'Scrublands', 'Silver' and new novel 'Trust', will take the virtual stage on Wednesday October 14.

And for the local foodies, celebrity cook and author Nigella Lawson will share her cooking wisdom on Thursday, November 5 and the publication of her latest book, 'Cook, Eat, Repeat'.

And round off the star studded line up is New York Times bestseller Heather Morris, author of 'The Tattooist of Auschwitz', who is scheduled for Thursday, November 12.
