Fort made his first appearance in Tigers' colours on Sunday in the NSW Premier Cricket Kingsgrove Sports Twenty20 Cup against St George.
The 19-year-old made just two, but will be relieved to have had his first hit of the season after parting ways with Northern Districts where he made his Sydney first grade debut two years ago.
Northern Suburbs captain said Fort had a hit with Norths at a recent training session and was set to play in Maitland if he did not sign with another Sydney club.
"Obviously it's a big loss for us, but we are really happy that Will has signed with another Sydney club and will be playing Sydney grade cricket this season," he said.
"Will is an extremely talented player and great young man and we hope his career will continue to flourish at his new club."
