The match - on Thursday, November 26 with a 5.15pm kick-off - will give football fans their first view of the new A-League side ahead of its inaugural season.
The match also marks the first time the Jets have played in Maitland since their trials against Central Coast Mariners and Western Sydney Wanderers in 2018.
With COVID-19 limiting the action for the sporting community this year, Council is offering all general admission tickets for the game free of charge, with grandstand seats $5.
'It's fantastic to have the Newcastle Jets back in Maitland and we're excited to be able to offer the community an opportunity to enjoy a live A-League experience in accordance with our COVID Safe plan," Mayor Loretta Baker said.
"We've had a wonderful experience with the Jets over recent years and I encourage everyone to get their tickets and come along for what will no doubt be another great evening when they take on Macarthur FC."
Newcastle Jets CEO Lawrie McKinna said Maitland had been a stronghold for Jets fans and members.
"Maitland Sportsground is a great facility that we've enjoyed playing at in the past," he said. "We're looking forward to taking on the League's newest side Macarthur FC, and hope that we see plenty of Jets fans there to support our boys."
Tickets for the match will be available from noon on Tuesday, November 10 and can be secured online at maitlandevents.com.au.
While all general admission tickets are free they must be accessed from the ticketing website.
COVID-19 restrictions will be in place, which will see reduced attendance numbers, so get in early to secure your space.
