Maitland Maroon under-13 Sam Holz made a better than run-a-ball 140 and took four wickets in his side's huge 276-run win against Tamworth Gold on Sunday.

Holz's 140 came off 130 balls and included 13 fours. He backed it up with 4-23 off seven overs.
While Holz was the stand out there were plenty of fine performances with skipper Harry Dunn backing up his 98 last week with a fine 87 off 48 balls. Sonny Whittaker made 52 off 30 balls and as Maitland posted 5/372 from their 40 overs.
Maitland's bowlers were on top from the start dismissing Tamworth for 96. Rohan Power finished with 4-14 off 7.2 overs and Holz took 4-23.
The win ensured the upper-age group under-13 team finished unbeaten on top of Red Pool and set up a semi-final against the Maitland Gold the under-12 team in the competition.
The winner of the Maitland teams' semi-final will play the winner of the semi-final between Tamworth Blue and Armidale.
Maitland Gold finished second in the Navy Pool finishing the regular season with a 67-run win against Narrabri.
Hayden Cox top scored with 26, Drew Saxby 20 and Charlie Jones 21 in Maitland's 140.
The bowlers ensured victory dismissing Narrabri for 73, with Tremayne Small (2-13), Henry Williamson (2-16) and Saxby (2-1) all picking up two wickets.
Maitland Gold (under-16) completed the qualifying rounds with a six-wicket win against Namoi and can still make the under-17 grand final if results fall their way.
Maitland Gold have the bye next week and will rely on the top age team Maitland Maroon beating third placed Tamworth and a superior run difference if Coalfields defeat Inverell.
The toss of the coin could prove the difference with Namoi winning the toss and making just 92, denying Maitland Gold the chance to bat a full 40 overs.
Harrison Johnstone took a match-winning 5-7 off his 10 overs to rout Namoi's batting line-up.
Joe Hancock top scored with 32 as Maitland secured a six-wicket win in the 16th over.
The two Maitland teams had byes in the final round of the under-15 competition.
Maitland Maroon finished on top of Red Pool and will play Upper Hunter in the semi-final at Robins Oval on December 6.
Narrabri play Inverell in the other semi-final.
The under-age Maitland Gold finished without a win but will benefit from the competition against older teams.
