However, City United batsman Josh Trappel says while the runs are great, the past three years since his return to play with City United have been among his best in cricket.
"Three years ago one of the main reasons I came back to Maitland was I lost the passion and enjoyment for cricket," Trappel said.
"Playing in Newcastle where I was, it was taking up so much of my life with work, being a shift worker, and I just lost that drive for it.
"I came back to Maitland to really get around that family-friendly mates club, and that's exactly what it's been.
"The last three years is up there with the most enjoyment I've had playing cricket."
Trappel said it felt good to be hitting the ball out of the middle consistently, but his back-to-back centuries were starkly different.
"The first one would have to be up there with one of the hardest 100s I've ever got," he said.
"The young bowling attack at the Terrace bowled really well on a tricky deck. I think I was about 30 off 90 balls so it was very challenging to start with.
"The more the innings went on, Istarted to feel the wicket and get it flowing better.
"The weekend just gone the deck was a lot different, it was a really good batting track and fortunately it was one of those days when everything just came out of the middle."
Trappel has made a habit of cashing in with runs against Kurri Weston.
His innings of 101 not out in last Saturday's outright win included 11 sixes and three fours and brought back memories of his match-winning 200 in the 2018-19 grand final against the Warriors.
"(Kurri Weston wicketkeeper) Tyler Power actually made a comment to me on the weekend saying 'Geez, you must love us'," Trappel said.
"The funny thing is I rate their attack as one of the best in the competition. Unfortunately, for them and fortunately for me I've had a couple of big days against them.
"You always lift against those quality bowlers and they come on to the bat really well. They bowl that really good pace that you don't have to think much, you just let it happen. Unfortunately for them, or fortunate for me, it worked out really well."
Trappel said despite his century and a seven-wicket haul from Tim Burton and a bag of five by Todd Francis against the Warriors, City United's success this season was very much based on a team effort.
"We are seeing a lot more consistency for not just one or two people, but the whole team. Everyone is putting their hand up and it actually speaks volumes about the club.
"We've got batsmen and bowlers working in partnerships. Unlucky for Timmy Baker he hasn't picked up as many wickets as he would have liked, but he has bowled really well week in and week out which is contributing to the likes of Tim Burton and Todd Francis picking up big bags of wickets."
City play Wests at Coronation Oval on Saturday.
