Maitland teams will be contesting the semi-finals of the Central North under-15 and under-13 competitions on Sunday. In an all Maitland final, Maitland Maroon (under-13) and Maitland Gold (under-12) meet at Bill Bobbins Oval in one leg of the under-13 semi-finals. In the other semi-final Tamworth Blue meet Armidale. In the under-15 competition, Maitland Maroon (under-15) hosts Upper Hunter at Robins Oval. Narrabri play Inverell in the other semi-final. In the under-17 competition, Maitland Maroon (under-17) are on the road to Tamworth in the final round. Undefeated to date, if Maitland Maroon wins they could pave the way for Maitland Gold (under-16) to secure the other place in the final. All finals are on December 13. Central North finished the McDonalds Country Championship on the Central Coast with one win and two losses. Northern Suburbs all-rounder Callum Gabriel led Central North to a 99-run win against Central Coast in round two. Gabriel top scored with 56 and took 4-7 off 2.1 overs as the home side collapsed to be all out for 73. Wests' Mitchell Fisher made 34-not out in Central North's four wicket loss to North Coastal. Newcastle beat Central North by five wickets in the first round.
