A new coronavirus testing service has started today in East Maitland. The service is run by Newcastle family owned business Medtech Services who partnered with 4Cyte Pathology to respond to the needs of patients and doctors with home visits and a drive-thru service at Wallsend for COVID-19 testing, then opening a high volume drive-thru at Warners Bay in July. On Thursday, the organisation announced the opening of a new pop-up drive-thru testing centre at East Maitland. The centre is located at the Stockade Hill Carpark (opposite soccer grounds) on Brisbane Street, East Maitland. Testing is available for all ages including infants.
