The premier's office told AAP she had nothing to add to her comment earlier this week that: "everyone needs to act responsibly" after the Labor MP was knocked out in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Mr Walker serves as a Temporary Speaker of Parliament and as a member of the Transport and Resources Committee.
The member for Mundingburra was hit during a fight with two men, aged 19 and 21, at the Mad Cow Tavern, where he was celebrating his birthday about 1am on Saturday.
The 56-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment but was later discharged and is recovering.
Police served Mr Walker with a public nuisance notice and banned him from the Townsville Safe Night Precinct, in the city centre, on Thursday.
The younger men have also been served public nuisance and banning notices.
Mr Walker, a former corrections officer, was elected to replace retiring Disability Service Minister Coralee O'Rourke at the November election.
