Frenchman Ciryl Gane has won a unanimous decision over Suriname's Jairzinho Rozenstruik after a one-sided main event at UFC's Fight Night in Las Vegas.
Gane won handily, 50-45 across the board, in the heavyweight bout. Gane improved to 8-0, 5-0 UFC.
"I don't make a real big show for the fans," Gane said. "I got a big win, so I'm really happy for that. The guy was really tough. I just wanted to manage and I did it."
Gane landed 128 strikes to Rozenstruik's 49 and registered two takedowns. Rozenstruik fell to 11-2.
"I expected a little bit more from him -- more attack," Gane said. ... "I was a little bit surprised for that."
In earlier action, Magomed Ankalaev scored a unanimous - but close - decision over Nikita Krylov in their light heavyweight bout. Ankalaev won 29-28 across the board.
Ankalaev landed more blows (89-58) but Krylov landed more significant strikes, 47-43. Ankalaev had three takedowns to Krylov's one.
In a women's flyweight fight, Montana De La Rosa and Mayra Bueno Silva fought to a draw. Silva won 28-27 on one card but the other two judges scored it 28-28. Silva landed 111 strikes to De La Rosa's 107. Silva landed more signature strikes (52-30) but De La Rosa had eight more minutes of control than Silva.
In a bantamweight bout, Pedro Munhoz scored a unanimous decision over Jimmie Rivera, 30-27, 30-27, 29-28.
Also, Alex Caceres defeated Kevin Croom in a unanimous decision in their featherweight bout.
