That's right - the Upper Hunter Tilse family apples are back so get cracking on those apple pies and apple crumbles - or just eat them as they are.
Either way you won't be disappointed.
The sweet treats will be at the Slow Food Earth Market in The Levee tomorrow, so come down to the Slow Food stand on the western side of The Levee from 8.30am until 1.30pm on Thursday.
A mix of Delicious and Granny Smith apples are available. A box is $20 and a bag is $5.
"Is there a better way to eat apples?," Earth Market Maitland chairwoman Amorelle Dempster replied when asked what she enjoyed about fresh apples.
Clearly a fan of the Tilse family apples, Ms Dempster went on to talk up the flavour and the crunch.
"They taste like apples, they are straight from the tree into a box and then they're delivered to the earth market," she said.
"There's no wax on them, they haven't been in cold storage, and every purchase helps a farmer earn a fair price for his crop."
Ms Dempster will be making apple crumble and will sell 2 serves of it for $10 as part of a Slow Food Earth Market fundraiser.
