From Friday to Sunday, the city will be transformed into a foodie heaven as Maitland Taste returns as 'Maitland Taste - Deconstructed'.
The three-day festival is being served up a little different this year with pop-up eateries and events located around the city over the three-days.
There will be activities and events held across the city including at The Levee, the church grounds of St John's Parish in Cathedral Street and Turner Rest Park, Maitland.
Maitland's only vineyard, Tranquil Vale Wines, will be back on hand with wine tastings and homemade sourdough on Friday night from 5pm.
General manager Connie Griffiths said it was great to be back after a difficult 12 months.
"We are going to be having our wine tasting of our full range. We will also have some homemade sourdough with some of our infused olive oils and caramelised balsamic vinegar," she said.
"We love meeting the locals and other businesses. We always get a great reception from the Maitland community."
For Taste Festival newcomer Jess Shears, the founder of Green Sista Plant Co, it's an opportunity to meet other likeminded local business owners.
"Buying local and shopping local is so important. Maitland is giving everyone an opportunity to do that and bring everyone together," she said.
Green Sista Plant Co, which specialises in custom orders of indoor greenery, pots and succulent arrangements, will be found in The Levee on Sunday.
This year's program will see the church grounds of St John's Parish in Cathedral Street transformed into 'The Meating Place' - a partnership between Smokin Hot n Saucy and Fogborn Brewery.
It will operate from 5pm to 10pm on Friday, 11am to 10pm on Saturday and 11am to 3pm on Sunday.
While from 5pm to 10pm on Friday and Saturday night, Turner Rest Park will play host to Mezze Beats, which will see stalls, including Gnocked Up accompanied by Euro sounds from DJ Perry Carter.
Running from 10am to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday, the event's day program at The Levee will feature gourmet food and artisan market stalls, food trucks, cooking demonstrations, live music, kids activities and gardening demonstrations by Anambah locals, Purple Pear Farm.
And for the first time, from 5pm to 10pm on Friday and Saturday night, The Levee will come to life with vibrant, interactive lighting sculptures by Sydney based creatives Amigo Amigo and Illuminart.
