The match set down for Saturday has been rescheduled to Saturday, July 24, with first grade, reserves and under-18s fixtures all on the same day.
With several players based on the Central Coast, Weston has received dispensation from Northern NSW Football to reschedule their fixtures.
The Bears' game against Broadmeadow Magic last Saturday was also postponed, however, a date has yet to be fixed for it to be played.
Bears president Rod Henderson said moving all three fixtures to the NPL free weekend on July 24 was the best option and would ensure that the match will have all the atmosphere the El Clasicoal derby has built up over recent years.
Anticipation had been building in the Magpies camp for a chance to atone for possibly their worst performance of the year when they lost 1-0 at home to Weston in round five.
Maitland extended it's winning run to three games with a 4-2 win against Charlestown Azzurri at Lilse Carr Oval on Sunday.
Jimmy Thompson produced two superb goals and was was joined on the scorecard by Joseph Melmeth and Flynn Goodman in a performance only marred by two defensive lapses which led to goals to Azzurri after Maitland had dominated proceedings.,
"We always expected a tough game as this was virtually a grand final for Azzurri to keep them in contention for finals," Magpies coach Mick Bolch said.
"We made it hard for ourselves but I'll take the three points as it was a tough ground, very muddy and boggy.
"I thought we played really well in patches and created a lot of good stuff ' Bolch said.
"It was just two soft goals which let us down, but realistically it was a grand final for them and they threw everything at us.
The Magpies who are third on the ladder equal on 28 points with Lambton Jaffas who have a game in hand. Broadmeadow are on top with 29 points.
