Kristen was nominated by Thornton Junior FC for her ongoing commitment and dedication to football.
Kristen is the heart and soul of Thornton Junior FC.
"How well the club is organised and structured as well as people being made to feel welcome and included is all due to Kristen's hard work and dedication," the nomination said.
"The club secretary spends countless hours working on all aspects of running the club and is always available to help and assist with questions or problems.
"Week in, week out Thornton Junior FC's 38 teams run like clockwork due to Kristen's dedication."
NNSWF community football manager Ross Hicks said clubs simply could not function without the contribution of people like Kristen.
"Kristen's ongoing contribution to Thornton Junior FC has been outstanding and should be celebrated," Hicks said.
"Thornton Junior FC is a better football club for the contribution Kristen has made through her passion, hard work and willingness to roll the sleeves up and help provide the best football experience possible for Thornton Junior FC's players, parents and spectators."
Newcastle Permanent chief customer experience and delivery officer Paul Juergens the awards provided opportunities to recognise volunteers who generously give back to their clubs and communities.
"We thank all volunteers across the region and congratulate Kristen for their passion and dedication," Juergens said.
Kristen will receive a volunteer jacket and bag courtesy of Newcastle Permanent to assist her in continuing to fulfil their valuable role at the club.
