The Sydneysider will meet the unified lightweight world champion Lopez in mid November in the US under a new promoter, after the IBF removed Triller Fight Club who had changed the fight date multiple times.

Lawyers had to step in after Kambosos rejected the latest date change from October 4 to 16 and then the IBF ruled that Triller had defaulted on its purse bid.

Kambosos (19-0, 10KO) hasn't fought in Australia since October 2017, with his past six bouts overseas, including his two most recent wins over former world champions American Mickey Bey and Welshman Lee Selby, the latest of which was 12 months ago.

Despite his status as IBF mandatory challenger and set to bank $2 million for the Lopez fight, Kambosos has little profile in Australia outside boxing circles.

But if he beats Lopez (16-0, 12KO) he intends on bringing the WBA, IBF and WBO belts home and defending his world titles on a big stage.

"I've had to do the hard yards and go overseas continually," Kambosos told AAP.

"What I envision is coming back here with all these belts and filling out a beautiful stadium, either in Melbourne at Marvel Stadium with all the Greeks and Aussies there or here in Sydney.

"We were very close to making it happen and even Triller tried to make it happen but Lopez didn't want to quarantine in Australia.

"But it's meant to be - to win my belts overseas and for me to then come back to fight."

Kambosos said he would like to bring Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko, who Lopez upset to take the three titles, WBC champion Devin Haney or another American in WBC mandatory Ryan Garcia to fight in Australia.

"I only want the best and obviously I'd love a Lomachenko fight," the 28-year-old said.

"I know Lopez is terrified to even dare give him a rematch because it was a one-handed Lomachenko.

"I'd love the Devin Haney fight and he knows 100 per cent that we would fight or maybe a Lopez rematch, so there's a lot of good names and I want the best fighters in the world."

Kambosos said the upside of the Triller drama was that it had raised his profile considerably, with more followers on social media than Australia's best known boxer Tim Tszyu.

"I don't get frustrated - more than anything my fans are frustrated for me and ask me why I don't get more mainstream media because you are pound for pound the No.1 fighter in the country," he said.

"This victory, what it will do for Australian boxing is huge.

"I feel there's a change which is only right that you get the credit and respect you deserve when you sacrifice so much."
