Karl Bowd and Andrew Vickery were at their destructive best with the bat scoring 87 and 63 respectively as City's top order fired to post 8/253 from their 50 overs.
Vickey and Ricky Dent (39) combined for an opening partnership of 105 before Kurri Weston skipper Sam Dalibozek captured them both in the space of three runs.
Dalibozek finished with five wickets and Liam Neild picked up three, but Bowd kept the scoreboard ticking with some imposing batting smashing eight fours and four sixes.
Coming in at No.3 he was involved in two 50 run partnerships and was eventually out with the score on 246.
Kurri Weston put up a fight with the bat, but City's spinners Todd Francis and Nick Bower got the better of them in the end and they were all out for 204.
Francis led the way with 4-33 of nine overs and Bower picked up 3-51 off 14.
The win leaves City United and Western Suburbs, who had an emphatic nine-wicket win against Raymond Terrace, as the only undefeated teams after the opening two rounds.
City take on 2020-21 grand final conquerors Northern Suburbs at Lorn Park in next weekend's two-dayer on Saturday and Sunday.
