Representative cricket teams from across the north of NSW descend on Maitland this week for the NSW Under-13 Championship Carnival.

Maitland will host five rounds of the Sixers Pool with games on Monday through to Wednesday featuring a strong contingent of Maitland players in the Hunter Valley Thoroughbreds side.
The Pool also features Far North Coast, Mid North Coast, Northern Inland Bolters, North Coast, Newcastle Blasters, Lake Mac Attack and Central Coast.
Maitland players will also feature prominently for Hunter Valley in under-14 and under-15 carnivals in Grafton.
The McDonalds Women's 16's Country Championships at Raymond Terrace also starts on Monday with three rounds of competition before finals on Tuesday afternoon.
The Central North team for the Under-16 T20 titles features Monique Krake from Maitland, Lara Robertson from Cessnock, Eden Andrews and Caoimhe Bray from Upper Hunter and Siann Carman from Singleton.
Central North are in action against North Coastal at Bill Bobbins Oval on Monday at 10am followed at 2pm when they play ACT Southern Region at Jack Collins Oval at 2pm.
In the final round on Tuesday they play Western at Jack Collins Oval from 9.30am. Preliminary finals and the final will follow at 1.30pm.
The Thoroughbreds under-13 campaign at Maitland starts on Monday when they host Lake Mac Attack at Robins Oval at 10am.
They have a double-header on Tuesday at Black Hill at Maitland Park taking on North Coast at 10am and Northern Inland Bolters at 2pm.
On Wednesday they are at Coronation Oval where they play Far North Coast at 10am and Mid North Coast at 2pm.

Hunter Valley under-14s play four rounds at Grafton starting with North Coast and Northern Inland Bolters on Tuesday and Far North Coast and Mid North Coast on Wednesday.
Hunter Valley under-15s also play North Coast and Northern Inland Bolters on Tuesday and Far North Coast and Mid North Coast on Wednesday.
In the New Year, Maitland players will feature in the Under-16 Bradman Cup at Lake Macquarie, the McDonalds Country Colts and the McDonald's Women's 19s Country Championship at Raymond Terrace.
Starting from January 4, Maitland has eight players in the Central North team, one of its largest contingents ever.
These include captain Tom Thorpe and his Eastern Suburbs teammates Harry Scowen and Rywin Nock, City United quartet Isaac Edwards, Jaxon Brooks, Izaac Coyle and Aston Blake and Northern Suburbs youngster Keanu Botha who at 14 is the youngest member of the team.
Maitland's Matiiese Wadwell and Tylah Swinton will feature in the the McDonalds Women's 19's Country Championships which start on January 5 play at Raymond Terrace.
They are members of the Central North team along with Singleton's Josephine Pearce and Siann Carman
Central North has yet to name their team for the McDonalds Country Colts which starts on January 10 and is to be played at Dubbo or Orange. Several Maitland players are in contention for this under-18 competition.
