Brenton and Emma Gee have been putting up their computerized light display for five years now, which has dazzling lights and props that flash and move in time to music.
Passers-by can listen by tuning in their car radio to 91.9FM
The pair said they believe Christmas is for the kids, and that's who they put up the lights for.
In other news:
"We do it for the little kids, the look on their faces when they see the light show and the trees sing.. they are always out dancing and sometimes the adults get more excited too," they said.
In a team effort, Emma takes on the role of programmer, editing music and programming the lights to go with the beat, and Brenton takes on the role of building new props and displays.
The pair usually start programming around February each year, and building in June, but this year the Gee's were a little distracted with the arrival of their first child, Charlotte, who surprised her parents by arriving nine weeks early.
Emma said she adds different songs each year, and if there's a popular song she will try and sequence it.
"The most popular one this year is the baby shark remix, the kids love that, and I've done a five minute Disney mashup song," she said.
'The Gee Family Light Show' raises money for the Starlight Foundation every year with a collection box at their driveway, and also an online fundraising page.
"We chose the Starlight Foundation because we wanted to help sick kids, we've done it for a few years now and this year it really hit home with Charlotte being in hospital for six weeks, and seeing first hand what the Starlight Foundation do," they said.
Charlotte arrived on August 1 and spent time in the NICU at John Hunter Hospital.
"We even had her down at the hospital on Friday, just for some day treatment, and the Captain Starlights came into the paediatric ward and were offering colouring in books for all the kids.
"When kids are in hospital it just adds a bit of happiness and brightness, no one likes being in hospital."

Brenton said a little local boy, Sam, comes and helps them put the display together, which takes about a month to put up.
"He's the nicest little kid and he comes up and helps us out," he said.
"Last year Sam would come up when it was like 44 degrees and never once winged, he just loves it."
The family has made a real hobby out of the light show, and Emma has even been programming similar light shows for households in America and around Australia.
This is their second year in their current home, and they said they chose and designed the house to suit Christmas lights - now that's commitment!
"We did it at our old house in Dianella Way for three to four years, and this is our second year here," they said.
"We chose the facade of the front of the house to suit Christmas lights."
The Gee Family Light Show is at 52 Sandpiper Circuit, McKeachies Run, Aberglasslyn, and runs from 7.30pm to 10pm Sunday to Thursday, and 7.30 to midnight Friday and Saturday nights with Santa.
