Maitland players took a leading role with East Maitland's Harry Scowen top scoring with 48, and City United's Isaac Edwards and Izaac Coyle making 25 and 19 not out respectively as Central North posted 9/179 chasing Greater Illawarra's 182.
Jaxon Brooks, who plays first grade with Raymond Terrace and his junior cricket with City United, continued a tremendous tournament picking up 2-16 from nine overs, while Denman's Ashton Blake another City junior took 3-21.
The loss leaves Central Northern on 14 points fifth on the competition ladder, just two points behind their final round opponent Western who are third.
It was a tough day for Maitland's junior representative teams with all three losing their games.
At the Ballina Under-13 Carnival, Maitland suffered a 79-run loss to Inner West Harbour who posted 8/128 from their 45 overs.
Beau Stevens (2-20 from six overs), Billy Ellis (2-22 from nine) and Quinn MacClure (2-32 from eight) picked up two wickets each for Maitland.
In reply, Maitland managed just 49, with Ellis 10 the only batsman to make double figures.
Maitland play Far North Coast Thunder in their final game on Friday.
At the Lismore Under-12 Carnival, Maitland lost by seven runs to Parramatta Lions.
Hudson Gurr took 3-11 and Hugo Strachan 2-11 as Maitland dismissed Parramatta for 113.
Maitland made 106 in reply with Blake Coyle top scoring with 33 and Thomas Reynolds 18.
They play Far North Coast Sixers on Friday.
At the Ron Arendts Memorial Shield in Newcastle, Maitland under-11s posted 9/130 to fall 17 runs short of Tamworth's 8/147 in their 40 over clash at Harry Edwards Oval.
George Williamson top scored with 30 for Maitland, with Udan Iddagoda and Braith Sinclair both making 14. Alby Nancarrow was the best of the bowlers taking 2-3.
