The Knights were in the contest in the first half and trailed by only 12 points at the break but the Broncos scored two tries early in the second half to take a commanding lead.
Errors at key moments prevented the Knights from establishing any real attacking ascendancy throughout the 70 minutes but they did break through to score two tries late in the game.
Former Broncos player Maitua Feterika, who made her Knights debut replacing injured prop Caitlan Johnston, barged over for a try with 13 minutes left to play.
Seven minutes later, Knights centre Jamie Fressard ran 60 metres to add another four points but the result was, by then, too far gone.
Playing without props Catilan Johnston and Phoebe Desmond, who were key figures last week against the Eels, the Knights at times struggled to contain Brisbane's powerhouse forwards.
That, along with crucial errors, allowed the class of Brisbane's experienced halves, fullback and right centre to do their thing.
The Knights looked to have opened the scoring with a wonderful team try in the ninth minute, a left-to-right play where the ball went through multiple hands before winger Katelyn Vaha'akolo put it down in the corner, but it was deemed a no-try due to an obstruction.
Two minutes later, Brisbane prop Millie Boyle scored behind the goal posts to allow her side to take an early 6-0 lead following the conversion.
The Knights tried something different with a short kick-off after the try and were unlucky not to regain possession but knocked-on.
The mistake proved costly when the Broncos scored their second try a few minutes later through fullback Tamika Upton.
The Knights stuck solid in defence to keep the scoreline to 12-0 at halftime, but were lucky to avoid more pain immediately after the break with Autumn-Rain Stephens making an error collecting the kick off.
They survived the resulting pressure but Brisbane went close to scoring.
An offload from one of Brisbane's forwards led to their third try, scored by Shenae Ciesiolka who combined with her fullback Upton in a similar one-two play that led to Upton's try in the first half.
Broncos winger Hagiga Mosby scored in the 49th minute untouched on the left edge.
Amy Turner scored Brisbane's fifth try four minutes before full-time.
