But the good news is that teams from across the Coalfields and Lower Hunter are represented from Clarence Town and Gresford to Wine Country.
The Maitland District Junior Cricket Association have worked overtime to ensure junior cricket finals from under-12 through to under-16 will proceed this weekend.
The association delayed semi-finals in the under-16 Division 1 and 2 and under-13 Division 1 competitions until this weekend and also ensured the washed-out under-12 Division 2 semi-final between Tenambit Morpeth and Paterson was able to played on Thursday afternoon.
The under-16 and under-13 grand finals will now be played on Saturday, March 26.
The winner of the rescheduled under-12 semi-final will play Wine Country in the grand final on Saturday.
