Coming off the bye, the Saints wasted no time kick-starting their season with a 103-point victory over hosts the Roosters at Rose Point Park on Saturday.
Maitland (21.6-132) dominated Singleton (4.5-29) from start to finish to beat the Roosters at Singleton for the first time in the Saints' history.
Sam Jordan kicked five goals for the Saints and Aiden Damico four while Patrick McMahon and Riley Hawes jagged three majors each.
Donald Hornby-Waring scored a double for the Roosters.
Maitland sit on top of the table equal on points with Killarney Vale, Terrigal Avoca, Cardiff and Warners Bay.
The Saints best were Jarrod Steinert, Riley Hawes, Walter Pankhurst, Riley Stevens, Xavier Russell and Aiden Damico.
Maitland were on the receiving end of a big loss in the Black Diamond Cup women's, when late withdrawals left them struggling for numbers and they were smashed 17.14 116 to 0.0.
The Saints best were Emily Docking, Brooke Flannery, Kailey McMillan, Emma Knowles, Halle Craigie, Tahneisha Walls and Brooke Flannery,
Also playing at Rose Point Park, The Saints went down by 46 points to The Entrance Bateau Bay in the Black Diamond Shield. Mark Curran and Isaac Abela scored Maitland's two goals.
The Saints best were Colin Carroll, Patrick Robertson, Ben Stewart, Dustin Spriggs, Lachlan Neal and Adam Bowling.
The competition takes a break for Easter.
In round three in Black Diamond Cup men's and women's and Black Diamond Shield Maitland are scheduled to play Killarney Vale on Saturday, April 23. The venue is to be confirmed.
