After two years of candle-lit driveway services and social distancing, the community will finally be able to gather in larger numbers.
There will be a range of services around Maitland on Monday.
Morpeth
Morpeth Anzac Day Committee will host a morning march through Swan Street, starting at 10.40am.
Those wishing to march should form up at Campbell's Store at 10.15am.
The march will be followed by a service at Morpeth Cenotaph at 11am, which is expected to end at about 12pm.
City of Maitland Pipes and Drums, representatives from the 4th squadron from Williamtown RAAF base, veterans and community groups will take part in the march.
This year, Morpeth will have seven schools taking part in the march. School children will be assembling in the lane next to the fire brigade.
Maitland
Maitland RSL sub-branch will host a dawn service at the Maitland Park Cenotaph at 5.30am.
A morning march will form up at 10.20am at the corner of Church Street and Caroline Place (at the Fire and Rescue NSW Station), and start marching towards Maitland Park at 10.30am.
The morning service will start at about 11am at the Maitland Park Cenotaph.
The Salvation Army Band will help during the services, and a piper from City of Maitland Pipes and Drums will be piping during the laying of the tributes at both services.
Representatives from the 2nd squadron from Williamtown RAAF base will be guest speaking and supplying the catafalque party at both services.
East Maitland
East Maitland RSL sub-branch are hosting a dawn service and march at 5.20am.
Form up at 5am at the corners of New England Highway and High Street, East Maitland, before marching towards the East Maitland Cenotaph on William Street.
The dawn service will then start at 5.30am at the Cenotaph.
The morning march will begin at 9am at the corners of New England Highway and High Street, before the morning service at 9.30am at the Cenotaph. Form up at 8.30am.
Serving members, veterans, scouts and guides groups, schools and community groups will be participating in the march.
The City of Maitland Pipes and Drums will be playing at both marches.
Representatives from the Australian Army School of Infantry, Singleton, will be in attendance and guest speaking.
