Dellit, on the comeback trail from niggling pre-season injuries, missed the season opener last week but has been called upon by Force coach Richard Graham to play outside centre against the defending premiers.
The 25-year-old, who was the club’s rising star award winner in 2011, was outstanding for the Force A team last weekend and was the only change to the starting side that narrowly went down to the ACT Brumbies in Canberra.
“Having competition for places in the team is key to getting the best out of the group,” Graham said.
“And with the likes of Paddy [Dellit] and others coming back into the frame for selection over the next few weeks it will certainly assist in creating that competition.”
Fellow Blacks junior Nic White has the bye with the Brumbies after making his Super Rugby starting debut last week.
In other rugby union news, the Newcastle representative squad, which features several Blacks players, will play the Canberra Royals in a trial at St John Oval on Saturday at 4.30pm.
