A pilot and his passenger have escaped serious injury in a light plane crash at Luskintyre this morning.
About 11.30am a light aircraft was practicing landings and take-offs from an aerodrome at Luskintyre.
Witnesses told police the plane experienced difficulties before it narrowly missed houses and crashed into trees.
The pilot, a man in his late 20s, and his passenger, a man in his early 30s, were taken to John Hunter Hospital for further medical checks.
The passenger sustained leg and facial injuries.
Inquiries into the circumstances leading up to the crash are still continuing.
