These in-demand stock horses are bred for temperament and ability thanks to the expertise of Tocal staff.
Students put a lot of effort into preparing the 21 horses that will be for sale on the day.
There will also be 13 horses from other studs that have supported the college.
Tocal stock horses are broken in and trained by students under the supervision of experienced horse people Warwick Lawrence and Simone Harvey.
Ms Harvey is the national women’s campdraft champion, while Mr Lawrence is a former champion.
They compete across NSW and interstate and their knowledge is an asset to the Tocal horse breeding program, Tocal college deputy principal Bill Kinsey said.
“Staff take great care to ensure the horses are quality animals in terms of breeding,” he said.
“We know that anyone who buys a Tocal bred stock horse will be happy with their purchase.
“We have had great feedback about the quality of our horses and many are now competing successfully in competitions around NSW and in other states.”
A parade of horses ridden by Tocal students and staff will be held at 9am on sale day and the sale will start at 1pm.
There will be opportunities for buyers to assess the horses in the week leading up to the sale.
The sale catalogue can be seen at www.tocal.com and inspections arranged through Warwick Lawrence on 0488 201 456 or Simone Harvey on 4939 8813.
