Central Hunter Crime Manager Detective Inspector John Zdrilic said detectives had an encouraging response since the 21-year-old’s father, Jonathon, launched a public appeal for information about Mr Manley’s whereabouts on Monday.
Inspector Zdrilic said detectives were encouraging more people with information to contact police.
Mr Manley has been missing since November 21, last year.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 183cm tall with a thin build, fair complexion, brown hair with long blond tips, green eyes and a piercing in his left eyebrow.
