Race six sees the Menangle Where Horses Fly Country Series heat with Shane Tritton’s Mont Ventoux and Curtis Maguire among the chances.
Mont Ventoux was a last start winner and the Kiwi gelding will look to make it two from two for Tritton’s Keinbah stables.
Clayton Harmey’s Nuclear Reality has also shown good form going into the heat winning three of its last five starts.
Tritton will also have a pair of runners in the TabCorp Park Menangle Country Series heat in race eight with Donnie Cee and Just Grange taking part.
Abernethy trainer Martin Howell also has two entries in race eight with Dynamic Jack and Hollys Fantasy.
Racing starts at 1.05pm.
Newcastle will also host a meeting on Saturday night, with a 10 race program scheduled.
At Menangle on Saturday night, two semi-finals of the Australian Pacing Gold will be run in races five and seven.
The group three event for two-year-old fillies offers prize money of $30,000 for each heat winner.
Racing starts at 5.20pm.
